Patética Company is a Brazilian Puppet’s Theatre group founded in 2001 with the goal of exploring the expressive and artistic possibilities of the language of Puppet’s Theater, specially within the children's universe.
Throughout all these years we have created, developed and maintained what is our greatest wealth: our repertoire. These works are part of our artistic expression, and include plays, storytelling and performances. We value artistic quality through diversity and constant improvement of activities, always starting from the puppet/object and its possibilities of animation.
In recent years Patetica Company in addition to participate in festivals dedicated to Puppets in Brazil, has also participated in international festivals such as XII Puppets Occupy Street in Craiova/Romania (2025); 2nd Oh! Castle Festival in Topu-China (2025); XI Puppets Occupy Street in Craiova/Romania (2024); Verbena Infantil in Móstoles-Madrid/Spain (2024); 6th WonderPuck Festival in Cluj-Napoca/Romania (2022) and many festivals in China (2023): 22th China Shanghai International Arts Festival; 7th Shanghai International Puppet Festival; 1st International Excellent Puppetry Presentation; International Family Arts; Nanxun International Children Arts Festival; Dopamine Art Festival.

- The Puppet´s Chamberlain
The relationship between a puppet and its puppeteer in a funny and poetic tribute to the art of acting and the affective memory of lived experiences.
- Cecilia's Ideas
Ideas are pretexts to relive moments, rediscover images, share feelings or songs or texts written in old pages. And what is life if not a dance between the unkown and remembrance?
- Poetic (or Pathetic?) Meetings
Short and original scenes in a creative and poetic performance. Small stories without words, full of images and sensations that will give meaning (or not) to these poetic (or pathetic?) meetings.
- Clown for Sale
Between stumbles and laughter there is fame and dreams. And the artist continues whatever that means. The applause of the audience feed the hunger and fill the heart. After another sketch, don’t forget: always be funny, always be smart. Go, dear artist, move forward and never turn back. Even if there is a lot of lack.
- Mini Poetic
Pockets full of ideas and surprises. Perhaps the biggest of them is a tiny puppet named “Miúdo”. Small only in his size, but giant in his intentions. He stays in the actor's pocket and invites the audience to participate in this fun interaction.
- Poetic Contact
An eccentric character – mix of a traveling salesman and a hiker poet – appears with his stylized coat, full of compartments and gadgets. Music boxes, a cuckoo clock, a mini gramophone - all rotating in tune with enchantment and delicacy, awakening the gears of thoughts and emotions in this poetic moment.
- Pocket Poetry
An itinerant happening in wich a little puppet – called affectionately “Poetinha” – chooses poems from the most diverse authors for the audience to the sound of accordion.
- Poetic Portrait
A little puppet dressed as an old-fashioned painter invites the audience very gently and offers them a portrait. A poetic portrait of course! Because our Little Painter is an artist.
